My photography students are currently working on their fake band's album covers. I had given them the specs and what they needed to include as part of the assignment, but I never got around to creating an example to show them. I usually don't show them examples because I don't want to influence their design or photos.
However, I couldn't help myself after Melly sent me a modified version of one of the photos we took during a recent photo adventure. The modification was simple - flip the image upside down. It is crazy how something so simple can totally change a photo. Below is our new fake band's debut album, Songs about Nothing.
A sampling of student responses-
"What the crap..."
"What was she falling from...Did she get hurt!?"
"How the...what the...I don't get it.."

ReplyDeleteMy favorite response was: "How the . . . what the . . . I don't get it."
A perfectly pitched articulation of incredulity.
